My journey
I started playing rugby in my under 9s season for my local club, Hampstead RFC. From there, I fell in love with the game. I remember going through early seasons without losing a single game with Hampstead. That feeling, winning with your team, is what made me want to pursue rugby competitively.
At under 14s, I was selected for the London Irish DPP, where I spent two seasons before joining the Saracens Junior Academy at under 16. I’m now in my third year at Saracens and part of the U18 Academy League squad.
Coached By
At Saracens, I’ve been coached by Sean Maitland, a British & Irish Lion with 53 Scotland caps and 147 Saracens appearances aswell as Duncan Taylor, with 28 Scotland caps and 169 saracens appearances. I’ve also taken part in sessions led by Owen Farrell and Steve Borthwick.
Being coached by players and coaches at this level has given me an insight into the detail and standards expected at the top of the game.
What Academy Rugby Taught Me
My time in an academy has taught me a huge amount about the game, but the biggest lesson is that your ability to improve is what defines you as a player.
What I Offer
Whatever position you play, catch-pass, tackling, decision making and game understanding are fundamental to becoming a better rugby player. As an inside centre, these are skills I work on constantly in the academy environment and are at the centre of my coaching.
The only areas I don't coach are specialist forward set piece skill, scrummaging and lineouts aswell as goal kicking
